RESIDENCIES
Wendy Jackson Pottery offer residencies for all ages, from preschool- aged students to residents of nursing homes.
The use of tactile art stimulates the brain in a variety of ways through sensory information, the use of shape, design and color. Group projects incorporate creativity and teamwork and build a sense of pride in communities for years to come. Students value and appreciate that they were part of a major installation in their school, town, or group home.
Residencies include demonstrations, hands on workshops, and group projects. Students will learn a variety of techniques and participate in short, individual lessons on the wheel, hand building, and carving.
Examples of some projects include:
Hand built vases
Bird houses
Clay boxes
Pinch pots
Small animal figures
Spoons
Tiles
Residencies average $300.00 a day for instruction. Mileage, materials and firing fee are additional.
